Barack Obama Against Most Military Action

I have written here many times about my support for Barack Obama and that support is built around my belief that he has the ability to have strong liberal beliefs, but also have the ability to find reason in an unreasonable world. When asked the other day about the potential of genocide in Iraq if U.S. troops are pulled out too quickly, Barack Obama said that U.S. troops should not be used anywhere in the world to stop the practice of genocide. Needless to say that response by Barack Obama sent a chill up my spine because serial killers in the form of dictators have been apart of this world for centuries and unless someone with conviction stands up to them, countless millions of people will be killed for no reason.

Like most people I am against using U.S. troops to nation build around the world, but when some crazy dictator gets it in his head that the best way to solve his problems are to kill millions of people based on their skin color or religious beliefs, a superpower needs to stand up and say, "over my dead body". There is always a balancing act between good and evil in this world and the best way to see evil grow is for the "good guys" to bury there heads in the sand and make believe that nothing bad is happening as millions of people are murdered. The world learned a big lesson in World War II and unfortunately those lessons have not been learned by Barack Obama.

I still like Barack Obama, but if he doesn't show some backbone when it comes to real life issues of life and death around the world, he is going to go down in flames to front runner Hillary Clinton. The American people know the difference between a liberal that is slow to use military force and a liberal that refuses to use military force under any circumstance including the protection of this land we all love. Barack Obama is playing with the big boys and girl now and he had better come up with a better answer than military force should never be used around the world, or his campaign is going to be toast before it even really gets started.
